How can i cool down why am i so nervous for my first Hip Hop dance class?

How can i cool down . I’ve had dance experience when i taught myself but why am i nervous now.

Hi,

Don’t worry. It’s normal to be nervous. If you didn’t get nervous, you wouldn’t be normal. I suggest listening to music that you like. Anything that calms you down. I find slower songs help me calm down, but maybe you would rather fast, upbeat songs. Also, go over the worst thing that could happen there, and prepare yourself for it. The thing is, it probably won’t happen (98%), and then you would have been expecting something way worse then what it really was. This will make the class a lot funner, and easier to deal with next week.
Remember, everyone in that class is in the same boat as you. Some girls sign up for dance with friends, and are very clique-y. Try to find a girl or two who didn’t arrive/aren’t with friends. It will be easier to talk/get to know them first.
